The Structure Group has just announced a new product for generation portfolio management. According the company, this new product, OfferManager, is an extension of nMarket and can create, analyze, and execute offers for energy and ancillary services for asset holders. It can communicate with fuels management systems and deal capture/ETRM systems via XML interfaces. The company describes it this way…

“OfferManager combines unit operating characteristics with fuel, operating and maintenance costs to
automatically create generation offers for submission to the ISO/RTO. Utilizing ISO/RTO defined as
well as custom algorithms to determine generation unit costs, asset managers can choose which offers
they wish to submit to the ISO/RTO. OfferManager reduces costly errors such as missed submission
deadlines, units offered below cost, or offers that cannot be achieved due to unit limitations.”
